Try this basic salad dressing! Salad dressings that you buy at the store always have ingredients that are terrible for you (i.e. soybean oil or hydrogenated oils) or ingredients that you cannot pronounce (mainly preservatives). They may make a healthy looking salad taste better, but they are not adding good nutrition. So why not make your own? It is easy, fast, and you only have to make a batch every once and a while. You will get peace of mind knowing exactly what goes into your dressing.

Basic Salad Dressing

  • ¼ cup flaxseed oil
  • 1-2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • ½-1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • ½ tsp. oregano
  • ½ tsp. basil

Optional: other herbs of choice

  1. Finely mince the garlic clove.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a shaker jar.
  3. Store in the refrigerator until use.

Increase the recipe for more servings as needed throughout the week.
