Bringing Art and Science To Your Healing Journey

Credentials

Connie Jeon, DPT, MPH, IFMCP, RD/LD, E-RYT 200 hr

In my 19 years as a clinician, I’ve found that knowledge itself doesn’t help my patients, it’s “applied” knowledge.  It’s in guiding you daily to understand what, why, and how to live to optimize your health.

And if I’m not practicing what I preach, it’s impossible to LEAD you.

I feel that’s what’s wrong in the Medical System today.  We have an abundant number of physicians “treating” your disease without focus on your “health”.

They treat disease, not promote health.

If you struggle with an illness or symptoms, their way is the “pill” for every ill.

Having lived 19 years with a chronic illness, I feel there’s a lack in Healthcare.

In order to guide you in the way you need to be guided, one needs to have gone through the journey to understand what it requires to take control over their health despite the odds against them.

That’s what I can offer you.  A clear, simple, and easy approach to reversing your symptoms and not only survive, but thrive.

I am passionate in my approach to healing.

Health is a journey, not a destination.

I am uniquely qualified to help you not only because of the professional training and credentialing, but especially because I understand where you are and what it takes to guide you to YOUR Destination Health.

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Allows me to understand the complex neuro-musculoskeletal system with a focus on prevention and holistic healing to enhance your health.  I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus during my last year of my Doctoral studies.

Functional Medicine Certified Practioner

I am able to apply a holistic approach to your condition so that we figure the root cause of your symptoms so that we can HEAL it once and for all.

Functional Medicine isn’t a “dogma” to uphold, rather, we choose to practice it in ways that actually CLARIFIES, not CONFUSES.

Registered-Licensed Dietitian

With over 20 years of nutritional experience, I understand the confusion regarding food.  Because while Food is Medicine, it’s also connection, feelings, comfort, and identity.   I make eating fun but also healing.  Registered Dietitian is the “GOLD STANDARD” license in the field of Nutrition.

 Yoga Alliance

E-RYT 200 Yoga Teacher

I’ve practiced yoga for over 26 years.  It was during my 3rd relapse of my disease that I deepened my practice by getting certified.

The practice of yoga helped me to overcome my condition, shift my perspective, and allowed me to functionally heal. The spiritual practice of meditation opened up a new way to live, in a state of bliss.    I can “SHOW” you how you can do the same.

Masters Public Health, Nutrition

Allows me to use food, nutraceuticals and herbals for holistic healing and health.

Pilates Method Alliance Certified Pilates Teacher

Certified Pilates- Master Trainer

It was during my second relapse that I decided to get certified in Pilates. I was always intrigued by the practice of Pilates as a modality to teach patients how to “tune” into their body and deepen their Neuro-Muscular connection.

Pilates allowed me to regain sense of motor control and improve tone and posture, especially after pregnancy.

Yoga School Founder

 Yoga Alliance

Yoga had a profound effect on me as a student, teacher, patient, and healer.  I found that suffering is a universal struggle among those that I heal and teach.  I wanted a way to connect and “TRANSFORM” my students so that they may experience and tap into their  true essence and begin to not only “HEAL”, but  “THRIVE” in life.

Baccalaureate of Arts in Psychology

I was fascinated with human behavior, more importantly, how our thoughts  trigger neuro-chemical variations that can ultimately affect our feelings.

This background in psychology allows me to “connect” with patients to enhance their healing.

Traditional Eastern Medicine

When first diagnosed with Lupus,  I felt there was a limit to what the Western Medicine can do for my Health.

So I began seeking out Eastern Medicine and applied the diet, herbals, and acupuncture early on in my healing journey.

In South Korea, (my origin), Eastern Medicine takes precedence over Western Medicine because of it’s Holistic approach.

Macrobiotic Counselor

Desperate for answers, I wanted to study the science and art of creating a diet specific to one’s health status and needs.

I was fascinated with the “energy” channels in our body and how Macrobiotics assess the needs of the individuals much like Eastern Medicine and prescribe  proper lifestyle and diet for each patient.

Trigger Point Dry Needling

Because I was struggling with joint and muscle pain, I wanted a better way to get to the Root of the Pain and help patients eliminate Pain.

My patients call me the “Needle Whisperer” because I can effectively knock out the pain in a short amount of time.

Craniosacral Therapy

Our bodies have an inherent ability to heal.

Craniosacral Therapy is a system of alternative medicine intended to relieve pain and tension by gentle manipulations of the skull regarded as harmonizing with a natural rhythm in the central nervous system

Women’s Health

Because women’s bodies are complex and delicate, I wanted a way to serve women in ways they need to be served.

From prenatal, pregnancy, to postpartum, I can help restore health to the the pelvic floor:  sexual pain, urinary incontinence/urge, interstitial cystitis, and infertility.

Alkaline Method ™

 Health Coaching

I’ve met many who claim to treat every disease through health coaching.

So I wanted to create a legitimate Health Coaching Training to train credible “Health Coaches” who can legitimately help patients through their health journey.

I believe we need to restore three essential health pillars:  Gut Health, Physical Health, and Brain Health.
