I truly believe the Alkaline Wellness Institute’s Yoga Teacher certification has had a tremendous impact on the person I am today. It is so much more than just a yoga teacher training; this program has changed me from the inside out. Still being rather new to yoga when I began my teacher training, I learned so much about the history of yoga, including different forms of classical yoga all the way to modern yoga practiced today. I am confident in my ability to teach yoga.
I came into the program with a little knowledge of yoga and was provided so much learning, about yoga and about myself. It was a balance of learning who I was and what I wanted to achieve and really focusing on the history of yoga, learning the subtleties of the yoga poses we focused on and how to make yoga a restorative process for participants. I walked away with a sense of gratitude and knowing that I can help my clients get to another place in their lives.

HI, I’M DR. CONNIE.
IFMCP, DPT, MPH, RD/LD, E-RYT
I found Yoga at the lowest point in my life. Through series of health challenges with Lupus, Yoga provided me with an outlet to find peace and joy in fully being “present” in my life. It’s helped me to recover from Lupus both physically, mentally, and spiritually.
I’ve also witnessed and experienced poor instruction that can lead to injury and degeneration.
So I created the curriculum that can transform you in ways that you can’t imagine. I hope you allow me to lead you into not only understanding Yoga as a physical practice, but as a life coach to cultivate love for yourself.

IT ISN’T ABOUT THE POSES
The Alkaline 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certification Program provides a solid foundation to teach yoga, inspire others, and deepen your own personal practice. The focus of this training is to provide students with APPLIED knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and understanding yoga philosophy so that you not only learn in “theory”, but learn to apply the philosophies in everyday life. In addition, part of the program will focus on meticulous alignment to “heal” and reconnect with the body.

DETAILS + TIMELINE
– Upon Acceptance into the program you will be able to login to the Student online portal beginning 8/1/18.
– Our Training is divided into five modules and is designed so that students can engage in self study through the online training platform.
– We will meet 6 weekends, Friday afternoon (5pm-8pm) and Saturday (1pm-7pm)
