This easy to prepare baked salmon recipe is full of Omega-3 fatty acids, for great heart health. The matcha seasoning also provides your body with lots of antioxidants and immune system boosters. This dish is the perfect healthy meal to make for a family dinner night!

Matcha Baked Salmon with Herbs

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 salmon fillets (4-6 oz. each)
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon matcha
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Rinse and dry salmon and place in a baking dish
  • Rub olive oil on both sides of the fillet
  • In a shallow bowl combine oregano, basil, thyme, matcha, cloves, cumin, salt, and pepper
  • Rub spice mix over both sides of the fillet until completely covered
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Uncover the salmon and bake for 5-7 more minutes.
