qi gongI recently went on a retreat and was introduced to the practice of Qi Gong and its health benefits. The practice of Qi Gong aids in opening our channels of energy by conscious breathing and movement. I learned that there are two power systems, one is physical and the other is mental. Of the two, the mental is much more powerful than physical. Being mindful of the two types of thinking; positive and negative. Remember that thoughts are energy, positive thoughts have high energy which is good for your health and negative thoughts have lower energy, which is bad for your health.

There are four elements of Qi Gong.

  1. Breathing: Should be long and deep.
  2. Posture: Open posture with movement help to open the energy channels.
  3. Mind: We use between 2-10% of our brain power, we have so much more potential to do great things, especially heal…..
  4. Sound.

There are six factors that affect energy channels

  1. Emotion
  2. Nutrition
  3. Weather
  4. Environment; Feng Shui
  5. Medication
  6. Injury
